Life may not be a bed of roses

 June 11, 2022 When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and when your life isn't a bed of roses, give lavender a try! I know that may not be a universal truth, but a stroll through a lavender farm may be just what you need. This tableau is inspired by my recent trip to Fairlamb Lavender Farm in Sandy Lake, PA for a 4 corner bag painting class. I often GET to do these fun activities with my mom and aunt, and today was no different. My aunt found this fun class, so we of course jumped on board! As expected, there isn't any trash on this farm (it is a business after all), so this tableau is all about the treasure (the atmosphere, the company, and of course, the project). We did make quite a bit of mess with our painting class, but that is to be expected. Before the class, I had an opportunity to walk around this quaint farm. God Bless the Soles

 June 8, 2022 Today I GET to visit a childhood favorite of mine Riverside Community Park in Greenville, PA. This tableau is named "God bless the soles left behind" and was inspired by the fact that I saw many shoes left behind throughout the park (odd, I know, right!). There is a kayaking company, Carried Away Outfitters , within the park, and I noticed water shoes left behind near their home base which is understandable, but I also found child size croc-type shoes by a picnic pavilion. Although it is my policy to take out the garbage I find, I did leave all these "soles" where I found them. My justification was... what if the owners came back for them? My son once left a very expensive pair of cleats at a park and when I returned, they were gone. Who knows? someone may return for these "poor soles".
