Intoxicating? This trash is not!

March 23, 2022 I  have driven by this park for over two decades and have never stopped to look at it. On this day, it was sprinkling outside, but the moss on the little cabin was very green; so I stopped on my way out of town to get a quick photo, and once I got there, I decided to GET a closer look. This park is called the Massa Harbison Park, and it is a city park, but the Daughters of the American Revolution (of which I am one coincidentally) proudly display their sign there.  My original intention was not to pick up any trash because I was in a hurry, but once I got to the park, the overwhelming amount of trash was unbelievable (so much so, I will have to go back again). Conveniently enough, one of the pieces of trash was a garbage bag, so it seemed like it was meant to be. There was such a wide variety of trash to choose from, so I just walked close to the cabin to get whatever I could that would fit in the bag. It was obvious people had stopped here for a snack and...

Nothing is going to foil my day!

March 21, 2022 I basically invited myself (well not really, but kinda) to a picnic lunch at beautiful Moraine State Park in Portersville, PA with my mom and aunt. It was a happy accident (thanks, Bob Ross for the awesome phrase), and a great opportunity for me to GET one of the locations on my trash and treasure tableau bucket list. My mom and aunt found this jewel during the pandemic lock-down as a way to get together when everything was closed and only outside visiting was recommended. It is a perfect location because it is about halfway between their humble abodes. We also realized, I am also about the same distance away from a different direction, so a wonderful triangulated location was discovered if we all want to get together! They pack a lunch, set a table, and sit down and enjoy the relaxing and beautiful landscape where Lake Arthur is the natural backdrop! I listened to them reminisce about the different seasons they have seen come and go at this very spot (or at least ...

March 20, 2022 Welcome to the inaugural GET ( G ather - E nvision - T ake-away) Adventure for Trash and Treasure Tableau. Unfortunately, visiting the laundromat has been a frequent occurrence for me for the last 6 months due to moving out of one house and into another. On certain occasions, trash and treasure is left at the laundromat out of being too lazy to throw away a dryer sheet or out of haste due to wanting to end the trip quickly! Either way, a laundromat is a great place to GET up, take a look around, and see what is laying around to be discovered! On this particular day (a Sunday afternoon without many people which is odd), it was raining outside; therefore, the hunt was limited to the inside of the building and just outside under the awning. This laundromat is very clean, so I was limited on the amount of trash to be found laying around. To the left is the art I created from what I found on this day. Some was trash such as the laundry detergent scooper (which was ours)...
