If you want to get clean, take the highway to the laudromat
April 3, 2022
What a special treat for you today, I have two tableaux from the laundromat. Yeah, I know, but you do have to keep going there until you get your laundry set-up at home, so don't judge. Also, the weather has been crappy (come on, Spring), so I am limited on what I can get at the moment. This Sunday, the traffic at the laundromat was much more of what I would expect to see on a Sunday. The trash was also more prevalent because the manager usually comes in the morning.
I was also be able to get one tableau inside and one tableau outside, so oh, the joy it is!
If you recognize the above, yes, it is my favorite corner. The Bible has been removed (I hope someone who needed it took it) and has been replaced with a novel. I also found a Mickey Mouse sock and misc. items you would normally find at a laundromat (none of it ours this time).

The one on the right is from outside the laundromat. As you may expect, the outside is littered with cigarette butts (Eww, you do have to draw the line somewhere), but there were some other interesting items. Some discarded snack items, another child's sock, a broken hanger, a receipt from Goodwill. The Goodwill is not even a mile down the street, so pick up some new jeans, and then stop and wash 'em. Good solid plan. Also, someone may be sad to know they left their shift receipt for work. I will not mention the name to protect the innocent (although that is debatable if you consider littering a serious offense). I hope he didn't need it to get paid. He had made $40.47 for 4 shifts (so glad that is not my job)!
The laundromat doesn't necessarily change a lot, but here are some of the things I noticed on this trip.
This pic just "cracked" me up, but really, this crack is new. Fun fact: if you photographed the crack from the other side because of the lighting, I was in the window, so yet another lesson learned on my photography quest.
But of course, the mask on the parking sign remains and no one has figured out how to get the can, Milwaukee's Best (or The Beast - from back in the day) out from behind the fence!
